A month ago today, there was the remembrance day of the so-called "Aradi vértanúk".

6th of October is the day where the thirteen generals who fought for Hungary's independence and liberty during the 1848-49 Revolution against the Austrian Empire. This day is a mourning day for Hungarians as it signals the end of the Revolution started on 15th March 1848.
Legend says:
Austrian soldiers were clinking their glasses and drinking beer during the execution, so Hungarian swore not to clink their glasses during drinking beer for the next 150 years.
Although there is no proof, it's true, some say even after the 150 years expired in 1999, clinking glasses while drinking beer were considered bad manners in Hungary. Recently, it's uncommon to judge that.
