"Szabadság, szerelem" (literally Liberty, love) is a Hungarian movie commemorating the Revolution of 1956.
At that era the Soviet Union had taken political control over Hungary and Hungarians started an uprising against the rule on 23rd October. During the Melbourne Olympic Games that year, the water polo match between Hungary and Soviet Union was fuelled by tension and even earned the moniker "Blood in the Water" match.
Though the movie's lead characters are fictional, it portrays key events of the Revolution and shows the fighting spirit of Hungarians.
